Celebrating the 8th Anniversary, Undip Vocational College Graduates Are Widely Absorbed in the Industrial World

SEMARANG- The Vocational School of Diponegoro University (Undip) celebrated its 8th Anniversary, at the Prof. Soedarto Auditorium Building, Undip Semarang Campus, Thursday (28/11/2024). Undip Rector Prof. Dr. Suharnomo SE. MSi who was present on the occasion expressed his deep appreciation to the Undip Vocational School for the achievement of superior lectures that form perfect competencies for students and graduates. Suharnomo said that many graduates of the Undip Vocational School were immediately accepted to work in well-known companies as soon as they graduated. “There is even one graduate that I heard is contested by four companies at once, this kind of achievement is cool and proud,” said the Rector.
According to the Rector of Undip, graduates of applied science lectures should have strong confidence so that it is easy to finally get a place in pursuing a career. The commemoration of the anniversary of the Undip Vocational School in the Soedarto auditorium was also filled with a scientific oration by a professor of physics from the Faculty of Science and Mathematics Undip Prof. Dr. Muhammad Nur, DEA. He became one of the world’s recognized scientists for his expertise in the field of plasma physics and ozone technology. M Nur’s findings regarding plasma and ozone technology, are to store food products such as vegetables, fruits, meat, fish and so on. M Nur also created clean air technology innovations through the concept of ozone and plasma. Therefore, students and graduates of the Undip Vocational School are invited to collaborate together to become a team of inventors to contribute to the progress of Indonesia.
This event was also filled with a sharing session with the Dean of the Vocational School UGM and UNS. On this occasion, it was also accompanied by the signing of a collaboration between the Dean of the Undip Vocational School Budiyono and the leaders of campus partner companies. The signing of this collaboration is related to the tri dharma of higher education with the business world and the industrial world (DUDI). In addition to the evening, there was a puppet show in a series of anniversaries featuring puppeteer Ki Edy Pengging with the play Sang Hanoman to entertain the academic community of the Undip Vocational School and Undip in general, as well as the community.
