Semarang, June 10, 2025 — The Naval Architecture Engineering Technology Program, Vocational School of Diponegoro University (UNDIP), held the Academic Gathering 2025 as part of its continuous efforts to enhance the quality of vocational education in the maritime engineering field. The event took place in the seminar hall of the Vocational School building and was attended by lecturers, academic staff, students, and faculty leaders.

Carrying the theme “Curriculum Strengthening and Learning Innovation to Enhance Graduate Competence,” this year’s gathering focused on evaluating and aligning the curriculum based on Outcome-Based Education (OBE), as well as integrating project-based and digital learning approaches.

In his opening remarks, the Head of the Naval Architecture Engineering Technology Program, Dr. Mohd. Ridwan, S.T.,M.T., emphasized the importance of this forum as a strategic moment to review the program’s development direction to remain aligned with the vision of vocational education at UNDIP. “We aim to ensure that the learning processes we design not only comply with national standards but also equip our students with practical skills relevant to future challenges,” he stated.

The event featured presentations on curriculum evaluation results, group discussions among lecturers on innovative teaching strategies, and student presentations showcasing learning outcomes and project achievements throughout the semester.

The Academic Gathering also served as a platform for internal coordination among faculty members in preparing for the upcoming semester — including updates to practical modules, the development of competency-based assessment rubrics, and the integration of digital platforms in vocational learning.

Through the successful implementation of the 2025 Academic Gathering, the Naval Architecture Engineering Technology Program reaffirms its commitment to improving the quality of vocational education and fostering a collaborative and adaptive academic culture within UNDIP’s Vocational School.
