Semarang, September 3, 2025 — The Vocational School of Diponegoro University (SV UNDIP) organized a pre-departure briefing for students participating in the Short-Term Student Exchange Program to Jiangsu Shipping College, China (JSCC). This briefing was attended by students from the TRKP–MAL and AP programs as the final preparation before their scheduled departure from September 8 to 18, 2025.

During the opening session, the committee highlighted the program’s objectives: to expand academic and practical knowledge in the fields of maritime, logistics, and administration, as well as to strengthen international networks between SV UNDIP and JSCC. Students are expected to serve as campus ambassadors, upholding integrity, academic ethics, and a spirit of cross-cultural collaboration.

The briefing covered the following topics:
1. Program & Academic Orientation: an overview of the academic ecosystem at JSCC, campus rules, and a summary of the itinerary, including classes, facility tours, and relevant visits.
2. Cultural & Ethical Preparation: communication tips, social etiquette, environmental adaptation, time management, and discipline during the program.
3. Safety, Health & Administration: explanation of travel protocols, insurance, emergency contacts, document management (passport/visa), and daily financial management.
4. Departure Logistics: details on gathering points, travel schedules, essential items to bring, and daily reporting procedures to the supervising faculty.

Additionally, students were briefed on program recognition/credit transfer, how to prepare experience reports, and plans for disseminating the results post-program (such as a sharing session or writing articles). This approach ensures that the benefits of the program are not only experienced by the participants but also serve as a knowledge spillover for the broader academic community.

Through this short-term program, SV UNDIP aims to enhance international exposure, strengthen industry connections in maritime and logistics, and enrich administrative practices within the vocational education environment. It is expected that participants will return with sharper technical competencies, broader global networks, and new perspectives to innovate in their respective fields.

Best of luck with the program! May the entire experience be smooth, safe, and impactful for the advancement of vocational education at SV UNDIP.
