Thorough Preparation by Class B, 2023 Cohort, Steps Confidently Toward Comprehensive Exam

Semarang – Students of the 2023 Cohort, Class B, in the Naval Construction Engineering Technology (TRKP) Program are gearing up for the upcoming Comprehensive Exam (Kompre) scheduled for early next month. This exam is a crucial milestone, serving as a graduation requirement and a key determinant of students’ readiness to advance to thesis work and industrial internships.

To prepare for the Kompre, Class B students are engaging in a series of activities, including:

  1. Intensive Guidance – Participating in mentorship sessions with lecturers to strengthen theoretical understanding and its application in naval construction projects.
  2. Exam Simulation – Conducting mock tests to familiarize students with the exam format and question types.
  3. Group Discussions – Forming study groups to exchange materials, analyze case studies, and deepen practical understanding in the laboratory.
  4. Project Consultation – Presenting naval construction projects completed during the coursework and receiving feedback from lecturers and peers.

One of TRKP student shared the class’s optimism: “We are preparing ourselves as thoroughly as possible. We hope to pass the Kompre successfully, so we can move forward to thesis work and industrial placement,” they said.

Supervising lecturer, Dr. Zulfaidah Ariany, S.T., M.T., added that mental readiness and analytical skills are just as important as theoretical mastery. “The comprehensive exam requires students to fully understand concepts and apply them in real-world naval construction contexts,” she explained.

With this solid preparation, all students of the 2023 Cohort, Class B, are expected to approach the Kompre confidently and achieve satisfactory results.
